About the Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in 2009 , approved student intake of 60, Now student intake of 30. The curriculum is prescribed by DOTE, Chennai, and covers key areas such as Digital Electronics, Electronic Circuits, Signals and Systems, Communication Theory, Digital Signal Processing, VLSI Design, Optical Communication, Wireless Communication, Satellite Communication.

The department is supported by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members specializing in diverse fields like Communication Systems and Applied Electronics. They are dedicated to fostering a positive and professional learning environment that encourages students to become innovative and competent engineers.

The ECE department is well equipped laboratories to meet academic requirements, including Electronics Lab, Digital Lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab, Communication Lab.

Beyond regular lectures and lab sessions, students actively participate in co-curricular activities such as technical symposiums, project exhibitions, value-added courses, guest lectures by experts, training programs, and career awareness initiatives. Students are also encouraged to undergo in-plant training in industries to enhance their technical knowledge, skills, and professionalism.

Regular department and class committee meetings, conducted by the Principal and Head of the Department, help monitor student performance, identify slow learners, and implement necessary remedial measures.

மின்னணு மற்றும் தொடர்பியல் பொறியியல் துறை 2009ஆம் ஆண்டில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. ஆரம்பத்தில் 60 மாணவர் சேர்க்கை அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது, தற்போது 30 ஆக உள்ளது. பாடத்திட்டம் Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), சென்னை மூலம் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டது. இதில் Digital Electronics, Electronic Circuits, Signals and Systems, Communication Theory, Digital Signal Processing, VLSI Design, Optical Communication, Wireless Communication, Satellite Communication போன்ற முக்கியப் பாடங்கள் கற்பிக்கப்படுகின்றன.

இந்தத் துறை, Communication Systems மற்றும் Applied Electronics போன்ற பல்வேறு துறைகளில் நிபுணத்துவம் பெற்ற உயர்தரத் தகுதியுடைய மற்றும் தகுதியான ஆசிரியர்கள் குழுவின் வழிகாட்டுதலில் இயங்குகிறது. அவர்கள் மாணவர்களை புதுமை சிந்தனையுடனும் திறமையுடனும் வளர்க்கும் வகையில் சிறந்த கற்றல் சூழலை உருவாக்குகின்றனர்.

ECE துறை, கல்வித் தேவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்யும் வகையில் நன்கு அமைக்கப்பட்ட ஆய்வகங்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. அவற்றில் Electronics Lab, Digital Lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab, Communication Lab ஆகியவை முக்கியமானவை.

பாடங்களும் ஆய்வகங்களும் மட்டுமின்றி, மாணவர்கள் தொழில்நுட்ப கருத்தரங்குகள் (Technical Symposiums), திட்டக் கண்காட்சிகள் (Project Exhibitions), கூடுதல் பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள் (Value-added Courses), நிபுணர்கள் வழங்கும் Guest Lectures, பயிற்சி நிகழ்ச்சிகள் (Training Programs), தொழில் விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சிகள் (Career Awareness Programs) போன்ற பல இணைச் செயல்பாடுகளில் ஊக்குவிக்கிறது. மேலும், தொழிற்சாலைகளில் In-plant Training மேற்கொள்வதன் மூலம் தொழில்நுட்ப அறிவும் திறன்களும் மற்றும் தொழில்முறை பண்புகளும் மேம்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.

முதல்வர் மற்றும் துறைத் தலைவர் தலைமையில் நடைபெறும் துறை மற்றும் வகுப்பு குழுக் கூட்டங்கள் மூலம் மாணவர்களின் செயல்திறன் தொடர்ந்து கண்காணிக்கப்படுகிறது. மெதுவாக கற்றுக்கொள்ளும் மாணவர்களை அடையாளம் கண்டு, தேவையான திருத்த நடவடிக்கைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகின்றன.
