About the Department

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Electric Vehicle Technology was established in 2025 with an approved intake of 30 students. The curriculum follows the syllabus prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai, and is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the electrical and electric mobility sectors. The department provides a strong foundation in electrical systems, power technologies and emerging electric vehicle applications.

The department offers a three-year Diploma Programme that covers core subjects such as electrical machines, power systems, control systems, power electronics, renewable energy and electric vehicle technology. The curriculum is aligned with industry standards and reflects current technological advancements.

A strong emphasis is placed on hands-on training and practical exposure through well-equipped laboratories and modern infrastructure. Students gain real-world experience in installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and EV systems. This approach helps build technical competence, confidence, and career readiness for industry, higher education and sustainable mobility solutions.

Regular departmental and class committee meetings, conducted by the Principal and the Head of the Department are held to monitor student performance. Special attention is given to identifying slow learners and appropriate remedial support is provided to help them improve.

மின்சார பொறியியல் மற்றும் மின்சார வாகன தொழில்நுட்பத்

மின்சார பொறியியல் மற்றும் மின்சார வாகன தொழில்நுட்பத் ( Electrical Engineering and Electric Vehicle Technology ) துறை 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இந்தத் துறைக்கு 30 மாணவர்கள் சேர்க்கைக்கு அனுமதி வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தப் பாடத்திட்டம் Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), சென்னை, வழங்கிய பாடத்திட்டத்தின்படி அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மின்சார மற்றும் மின்சார வாகனத் துறைகளில் திறமையான நிபுணர்களுக்கான அதிகரிக்கும் தேவையை பூர்த்தி செய்யும் வகையில் இது வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இத்துறை மின்சார அமைப்புகள், மின்சக்தி தொழில்நுட்பங்கள் மற்றும் உருவாகி வரும் மின்சார வாகன பயன்பாடுகளில் வலுவான அடிப்படை அறிவை வழங்குகிறது.

இத்துறை மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் கொண்ட டிப்ளமோ பாடநெறியை வழங்குகிறது. இதில் மின்சார இயந்திரங்கள், மின்சக்தி அமைப்புகள், கட்டுப்பாட்டு அமைப்புகள், பவர் எலக்ட்ரானிக்ஸ், புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க ஆற்றல் மற்றும் மின்சார வாகன தொழில்நுட்பம் போன்ற முக்கிய பாடங்கள் கற்பிக்கப்படுகின்றன. இந்தப் பாடத்திட்டம் தொழில் துறையின் தரநிலைகளுக்கு ஏற்பவும், தற்போதைய தொழில்நுட்ப முன்னேற்றங்களை பிரதிபலிக்கும் வகையிலும் அமைந்துள்ளது.

நடைமுறை பயிற்சி மற்றும் அனுபவத்திற்கு முக்கியத்துவம் அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. நவீன உபகரணங்களுடன் கூடிய ஆய்வகங்கள் மற்றும் நேரடியாக தொழிற்சாலைகளை பார்வையிடுவதன் மூலம் மாணவர்கள் நேரடி அனுபவத்தைப் பெறுகின்றனர். மின்சார மற்றும் மின்சார வாகன அமைப்புகளின் Installation, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting போன்ற துறைகளில் பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்படுகிறது. இது மாணவர்களின் தொழில்நுட்ப திறனை, நம்பிக்கையை மற்றும் வேலைக்கு தயாரான மனப்பாங்கை மேம்படுத்துகிறது.

மாணவர்களின் முன்னேற்றத்தை கண்காணிக்க, முதல்வர் மற்றும் துறைத் தலைவர் தலைமையில் துறை மற்றும் வகுப்பு குழுக் கூட்டங்கள் முறையாக நடத்தப்படுகின்றன. மந்தமாக கற்கும் மாணவர்களை அடையாளம் காண சிறப்பு கவனம் செலுத்தப்படுகிறது. அவர்களின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்கு தேவையான திருத்த பயிற்சிகள் மற்றும் உதவிகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.
